MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE TRAINING CENTER

The scope of this project required the complete construction of thirteen (13) buildings and miscellaneous steel structures in a mock cityscape setting for advanced training of the Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue Department. The main components of this project included the construction of a 65,000 SF tilt-up concrete panel Trade School Building, pre-engineered structural steel buildings for covered training and outdoor classrooms, mock Fire Training Tower, Residential and Commercial Burn Buildings, a pre-engineered structural steel Vehicle Extrication Shelter, Maritime Ship Training building constructed of pre-fabricated structural steel panels, installation of approximately 2,500 LF of liquid petroleum and vapor gas lines fed from an 18,000 gallon LP Gas tank, and construction of Confined Space and Trench Training areas created to simulate realistic underground rescue scenarios. The mechanical, electrical, and security system scope tied in to the fire departments existing central energy plant and was completed without any disruption of service to the existing headquarters facility or the Miami-Dade County Emergency Operations Center.
